Helping Others

In school for the last few days, I have made a discovery - my friends are homeless! I’ve always been skeptical of them. The reason is that one day I asked if I could go to Da’Naya and La’Naya’s house. They said yes. When we got there to my surprise the twins told me that they lived in a homeless shelter. They told me that they were poor. They told me everything. Their dad had lost his job. Their mom works $7.00 an hour at Hardees. They would always come to school with dirty clothes with holes and smudges. Their hair was tangled with knots no one could comb out. I felt sorry. So I did something about that.

After I was informed what I was informed I was in shock. The next morning, I met them at school and we went to the principal and asked if we could have a fundraiser. I told him that the fundraiser would include a fish fry, games, blown up bouncing pits, and hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.

Mrs. Oliver, staff member, contacted our business partners who contacted Chick-fil-A to let them eat there once a week for a whole year. Goodwill for clothes, Cricket for two cell phones, and Duke Power for electricity, and I contacted my aunt to let them stay in a condo for a year, and my dad is a supervisor and he is interviewing the dad for a job.

Since we had a fundraiser we raised $6,000. I paid $800 to my aunt to let them stay in her condominium for a year. That leaves me to $5,200 - $600 for groceries, $1000 for utilities, they will need a $500 bus pass for the whole family, and they will need child assistance in the afternoon just in case the parents aren’t home that is $250. The $2,850 that is left will be saved for emergencies.

At the end (we do this every year) of this project, we set up a party. The staff and students come to the YMCA and enjoy food from Golden Corral.

Have You Read Encyclopedia Brown?

The last book I read was Encyclopedia Brown. It is about a boy who is named Leroy Brown. They call him Encyclopedia because he knows everything in an encyclopedia A-Z. He is like a Sherlock Holmes in sneakers. When he has a case for the town and he doesn’t finish it before dessert his mother gets mad.

One time his arch enemy Bugs Meany, the leader of the Tigers, was going to punch him and his assistant was going to punch him .She is Sally Kimball she is the prettiest strongest girl under 13 to hit a 14 year old. . One time Sally Kimball his assistant saw him picking on a cub scout and she got him with a right punch and a left one. Then he went down with a big thump.

He never thought about hitting him again. His dad is the chief so that’s how he get’s his cases. That’s how they always get the crook. In the summer he opens up his business in his garage. He makes it cost $0.25. Every time he gets a case it deals with Bugs Meany. That is the last book I read.

The Animal I am Most Like.

The animal that most represents me is the tiger. Because my personality is the tiger. Because it is bossy for its meat. Bossy is my personality. The reason is that it represents me is because it can be a leader of a group of tigers. I can be a leader of a group of people. Trust me I can be real bossy.

Why is because it is a mammal. The tiger is bossy for food. It relates to me because when it was time for dinner at my house, my mom asked me what I wanted I said this and that .But she was on the phone when she asked me. She keeps talking. I said give me my food!! Then I start pouting at the corner of the kitchen. Then I start stumping my feet and make sounds like uhhhhhhh come on. Here is another way I can be bossy. When I was in 2nd grade a girl wanted to be my friend. I said ok. I did tell her I was bossy. Then I started getting bossy she left me because she got mad a t me.
