My visit to Medieval Times

Take a journey back in time – visit Medieval Times where you can enjoy great food, cheer and scream for your knight and have a wonderful time.

The first thing you do when you arrive is enter the castle and take a look around the souvenir shop where you will find wooden swords and axes. They even have princess cups and dragon statues! Don’t forget to look at the huge Asian Owl! It’s the biggest owl you will ever see. It’s near the royal throne.

Once everyone is seated, the show begins. The main attraction is the Jousting Tournament. The Great Tournament tells a story about the mythical warriors who are competing for the title of Champion and for the hand of a lovely princess. Cheer for your knight as he gallops into the arena on his beautiful Andalusian stallion. The color of your ticket is the color of the knight you will cheer for.

You will also be able to enjoy the feast during the tournament. The food you will eat is vegetable soup, chicken, ribs, garlic bread and a pastry or cookie. You also get to choose your beverage. Best of all, you get to eat with your hands while you watch your knight take on the others in a joust. You’ll see and hear the shields smash! But sadly, your knight might die in the tournament. Don’t worry though, it’s just a play.

 

After the show you can get an autograph from the knights or talk and take pictures with them. You can even become a lady or lord in a ceremony. If you’d like, you can tour through the dungeon. I recommend you go and take the whole family.
