Who Are the Lancaster Barnstormers?

The Lancaster Barnstormers joined the Atlantic League in 2005. The Atlantic League consists of the following teams:

• Southern Maryland Blue Crabs
• Bridgeport Bluefish
• York Revolution
• Newark Bears
• Long Island Ducks
• Somerset Patriots
• Camden Riversharks
• Lancaster Barnstormers.

The Barnstormers formed their team in Lancaster, PA in 2005. They play home games at Clipper Magazine Stadium. Their mascot is Cylo (0) who was born in Mascot, PA.

They have their share of winning and losing, but they play for the fun of the game. They rely on teamwork to build their team and move their way to victory. They are a rocking team who should be called winners all the time. No, they do not win all of their games, but even when they lose they win; they win our respect and their opponents’ respect when they lose honorably--meaning they lose without blaming others or their coaches and losing their heads. And for our younger readers, losing their heads doesn’t mean that their heads come off, it means they do Barnstormers play and act.

Now you may be asking yourself “Is it over yet?” If that’s the case, I know your answer-- NO! The Barnstormers team will play respectably for many years to come. Their exemplary playing and focus on teamwork has made them famous and legendary to some and a powerful team to all!

The Lancaster Barnstormers Baseball Team is on their way to becoming a Legendary Team in the Atlantic League.
